Culinary History
Throughout the centuries, Eastern Europe and the Balkans were influenced by various empires and cultures, including the Byzantine Empire, the Ottoman Empire, and the Austro-Hungarian Empire. These influences can be seen in the region’s cuisine, with dishes like baklava and kebabs from the Ottoman era, and schnitzel and strudel from the Austro-Hungarian period.
The Balkan region, in particular, has a diverse culinary heritage due to its position at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. Here, you’ll find dishes that blend Mediterranean, Slavic, and Ottoman influences, such as cevapi (grilled minced meat), burek (flaky pastry filled with meat or cheese), and ajvar (roasted red pepper and eggplant relish).

We ordered two Balkans packs with cevapi and added some breadrolls. Super tasty cevaps, lovely cabbage salad, beautifully seasoned hot fresh chips plus ajvar & a pickle. Definately returning to try some other menu items! Generous serving size too. Thank you!
